We’re proud to have supported Chivas Brothers in the successful expansion of their Aberlour Distillery in Moray, delivering eight new copper stills as part of their ambitious project to double whisky production capacity.
The first four stills began fabrication in March 2024 and were installed by December 2024. Fabrication of the remaining four stills commenced in November 2024, working to a June 2025 deadline. All stills were made at our Rothes copper workshops, with cradle supports fabricated and painted in-house at our Buckie facility.
The fully assembled 4-metre cradle supports were first positioned in the stillhouse, followed by the precise lifting and placement of the 6-metre still pots and heads. Installation for the remaining 4 stills, led by Forsyths with support from IDI Services Ltd, began the week commencing 5th May and was successfully completed by the 19th May.
It has been a privilege to contribute to the future of Aberlour Distillery.
