Designed for offshore produced water treatment, the CFU package provides an efficient solution for separating oil from produced water. Fine gas bubbles are introduced into the incoming produced water, allowing oil droplets to attach to the bubbles and rise to the surface, where they can be removed. The treated water is then discharged from the vessel, while the recovered oil is returned to the production system.
The completed CFU skid package incorporated a range of in-house engineering, fabrication and installation capabilities, including:
- S31803 duplex pipework, fabricated and installed in accordance with the client’s P&ID
- An in-house designed and manufactured CFU pressure vessel
- Electrical and instrumentation installation completed by Grants
- Complete design, drafting, testing and certification, carried out in compliance with the applicable requirements of the PED
A key strength of the project was the close collaboration between our Buckie and Rothes facilities, bringing together specialist skills and workshop capabilities to deliver the package from design through to completion.
The project was completed on schedule and shipped directly from our quayside location, providing an efficient transition from manufacture to offshore deployment.
