Electrical Supervisors / Approved Electricians / Electricians

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical installations, repairs, and inspections across industrial, commercial, and domestic premises.
• Completing all relevant reports and documentation to the required standard.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and site rules.
• Communicating effectively and professionally with customers and site personnel.
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults efficiently.
• Ensuring all work complies with statutory regulations, SJIB codes of practice, and customer-specific requirements.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

• FICA completed successfully
• SVQ Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation
• Approved Electricians: Completed the Advanced Competence Assessment (ACA)
• Electrical Supervisors: Previous experience managing large-scale projects
  OR
• Completion of an equivalent SJIB‑approved course of study

Additionally, candidates must have:

• Up-to-date knowledge of BS7671 (18th Edition)
• A full UK driving licence
• Experience working in industrial, commercial, and domestic electrical environments

Candidates with the following experience or certifications will be at an advantage:

• CompEx Ex01–Ex04 certification (hazardous area electrical installation and inspection)
• Instrumentation troubleshooting experience, including fault finding and loop checking
• Motor Control Centres (MCCs) and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), configuration, commissioning, and fault diagnostics
