Job Purpose

We are recruiting a Business Development Manager to assist our Operations Director with identifying new business opportunities, attracting new customers, retaining existing business, and improving profitability to help the business grow.

We are flexible with the work location for this role and will consider remote, hybrid or office working options.

Job Description - Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

Researching businesses, individuals and industry trends to identify potential new clients, conferences and markets
Contacting potential new clients using phone and email to gauge interest and plan meetings
Preparing client presentations and materials, including PowerPoint and sales displays
Meeting new and existing clients in person with operations colleagues
Preparing and delivering pitches to potential clients
Attending networking opportunities including conferences and industry events with booking of all travel & accommodation conference trips
Identifying conferences for the business to attend
First point of contact for all Energy/Oil & Gas enquiries and tracking progress
Management of all marketing material

Person Specification

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook & Excel
Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and written
A high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times
The ability to remain calm under pressure, self-motivate and prioritise tasks
Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to seek, create, negotiate, and close a deal
Solution-oriented with effective problem-solving skills
